The Ward Family has been singing gospel music together for many years. The members - all related by blood or marriage - range in age from 21 to 80
The six children of the late Roy and Mamie Ward, their spouses and children and granchildren, made up the Ward Family Singers. Their father Roy was a Baptist minister, pastoring mostly rural churches in Arkansas and one in Mississippi during the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.
Members who were included in the latest album include Marketa Ward Evans, Cindy Evans, Camille Williams, Ron Evans, Loweta Ward Turney, Renee Hale, Truman Hale, Graham Hale, Corey Hale, Cherie Pierce, John L. Ward, Betty Ward, Dr. Jenifer Ward, Joe Ward, Dena Ward, Mica Ward, Bill Ward, Suzy Ward, Jessica Brannan, Judy Roach, Tim Roach, Brian Roach and Keith Gresham.
As they presented concerts, the family raised funds which will now be used for scholarships to carry on the goal of preserving and perpetuating gospel music. See Chapel page for more information.
